SA-7100

Automatic high voltage AC current bridge SA-7100-2 (SA-7100-3) is designed for measuring the electric capacitance and dissipation factors, voltage and frequency of the AC current, and resistance to the DC current.

SA-7100 is used for:

• Monitoring the quality of the insulation properties of the electrical equipment during its manufacturing and usage;
• Verification, calibration, metrological certification and testing of the electrical equipment.

SA-7100 consists of a control unit (CU), which is positioned near an operator, and a measurement unit (MU), which is put in the high voltage area.  CU and MU are connected via a fibre-optic cable, which provides complete electrical safety of the operating staff.

The measurements process if fully automatic, including the choice of the measurement sub-levels. Results are displayed on an LCD screen (2 lines, 16 positions) on the CU. Additionally, SA-7100 could also be operated through a connected PC.

Control unit features a dedicated non-volatile memory, capable of storing up to 1000 records of the previous measurements, which could be exported to a PC in Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel formats. Each measurement in memory is identified by date and time, as well as by a unique ID that has been input by an operator when the measurement was taken.

The correct operation of SA-7100 could be verified even in the field conditions by using a testing unit, which is included in the package.

Bridges SA-7100-3 are additionally supplied with a high voltage multiplexer. The multiplexer SA7160 switches measurement modes C, tgδ ↔ R. The multiplexer SA7161 switches measurement modes C, tgδ ↔ R and “direct-reverse” measurement circuit. Both multiplexers are remotely controlled from the CU.

As standards, SA-7100 is supplied with a measurement cable KIZ (length 25 m) with an external insulation capable of withholding an operating voltage of up to 10 kV. Due to this, when measuring according to the “reverse” circuit, there is no need for any additional cable insulation.
